The WOW! Fiesta at the Starling mall in Damansara Uptown concluded on 17 March 2019 after 2 days of revelry. Organized in celebration of International Women’s Day and The Star’s “WOW-Women do Wonders” campaign, it had an engaging line-up of activities to satisfy visitors. Plenty of talks and panel discussions featuring inspiring women were scheduled throughout the event with topics centered on their experiences in entrepreneurship, tips to success and anecdotes on professional and personal lives. Radio host and wellness coach Linora Low spoke about tackling body image issues women face in her session, “Body Dysmorphia And How It Affects Women” at the main stage at 2pm. Held in the exhibition hall, the event was supported by a bazaar with more than 100 booths which were run by women entrepreneurs who were homegrown business owners, local artisans and craft makers.
