We Miss Thai Food Already!

Thai Food Fair, organised by Jaya Grocer in collaboration with the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP)

Organised by Jaya Grocer in collaboration with DITP, and supported by the embassy of Thailand, Amazing Thailand, Thai Airways and the Starling mall, the Thai Food Fair was a great success. Among the prepared food on sale were green papaya salad, Thai spicy squid salad, betel leaf wrap, and Thai-style mixed tossed rice. There were also coconut ice cream, Thai tea soft serve and tub tim krob for dessert lovers. Among the groceries on sale were Mama instant noodles, Koh Kae peanuts, assorted Lays snacks, and a variety of coconut milk and cooking paste. Craftworks like wooden utensils, accessories and money pouches were available as well. In particular, the kickboxing shorts on sale were an attention grabber. Throughout the fair, there were coloring and face painting activities, balloon clown, and traditional Thai food and Thai craft workshops. There were Thai folk song, cultural dance and kickboxing/Muay Thai performances as well. All in all, it was an awesome Thai-filled weekend. Many shoppers left the fair with full stomachs and shopping bags!
